dont think there is any doubt that arun watches ...i dont think there is any doubt that arun watches the tapes slowly. because 1. the entire munna ,shay relationship develops inbetween.end of aruns story corresponds with end of munnas story too. that they are parallel is confirmed by crossovers of shay in both stories.2. the shock of death is felt more because he is almost in a platonic relationship with the girl. in one day ,he wont be involved so much. 3. we see how he first sees the tapes,then kittu gidwanis comment suggests infatuation, then he starts working on sketches, shay observes his work from the building across, shay comments on hs changing mood, he tells someone mostly kittu gidwani on the phone about the work,we see at least one painting ready. so is not at a stretch.<br />and i will accept that he will keep seeing them again and again,but the first viewing has to be entire. not in bits.<br />i agree with your other liked the film and ur blog too.but i don't c...I liked the film and ur blog too.but i don't completely agree with ur point related to Arun watching tapes slowly and not at stretch.though u have a point. but....Arun seems to be slowly imbibing Yasmin's world.he tries to see things from her perspective and also as seen in the frames of the tapes with Yasmin in it....sketches simple things seen through her eyes.hence the long time taken to see tapes.<br /> one thing I felt was bit weak is Munna's-Prateek's language. though the character is well written and executed by the actor his language seems too sofisticated.when he has specific past geographical location,religion economic status and specific present residential area and specifisc age he seems to have lost the लहेजा of his own language too quickly.Yet its not influenced by the people he hangs out with.as compared to others I found this casting also bit inappropriate. though it fits in with munna's ambition to be an know it works .though actually it has nothing to do with mumbai. they wanted to portray it as a progressive film (which ,to an extent ,it is) but they also didnt want fans of khan to expect something more commercial.. so they underplayed his presence since the
